The concert was excellent. The theatre was small and even the lawn seats were good. I did manage to get some decent pictures UP until the time someone grabbed my arm from behind me telling me not to take any more pictures. Hmmmmm..... I called yesterday afternoon to find out about the rule on bringing cameras into the concert and they told me we could bring cameras as long as they weren't professional ones. SO, I grabbed my daughter's digital (since it's small enough to carry around without being a nuisance). The best pictures I got were before the sun went down because there was no need to use the flash. After sunset, however, the flash kicked in and apparently caught the attention of one of the theatre's "guards" (that's what they act like). On our way back from walking down to the restroom area, I thought I'd grab a couple of good shots since we were closer to the stage and it seemed the perfect opportunity. Someone grabbed my arm from behind and said, "No more pictures." Ok, so you can bring a camera, but YOU CAN'T TAKE PICTURES!!! Have you ever heard anything so bizarre??? I was going to tell them I didn't speak English but I didn't think about that until after we were back at our seats.... =)

Anyway, overall we had a good time and I do have a few good pictures to put into a scrapbook.

I've been a bit negligent in visiting blogs, as my sister Jan pointed out to me in an earlier comment; sorry. Sorry, Jan! Things have been really hectic lately. I'll explain in more detail later..... We did close on our loan this past week and I expect we'll be ready to start our renovation project when we return from Chicago. (We're leaving Monday morning!) So next week I'll be absent from the computer altogether until the weekend. Also, I called my oldest sister Windy yesterday to wish her a happy birthday; hope you got my message, Windy!! I hope you enjoyed your day!!

I've got a few things to organize and clean here at home today before we take off for the River Roar, then tonight I think I'll relax in front of my computer (I hope). Tomorrow will be spent packing and getting ready to leave Monday morning to the windy city! =)

Here's a picture from last night's Moody Blues concert....

P.S. Why is everything in my 'post' area centered all of the sudden??? I haven't changed any settings, NOR do I have any center tags unclosed.....

We're off to see Moody Blues in just a few minutes! It is HOT outside but that's ok. Thank goodness for air conditioning!! I am bringing my camera and binoculars. I checked with the theater to see if it was ok and they said yes.

What's happening around here... Well, we close on our loan this afternoon; yay! My husband received tickets (for Father's Day) to see Moody Blues on Friday evening so of course he's taking me! He also got tickets for the River Roar this Saturday, so I hope we have good weather! Then on Monday morning we'll be leaving for Chicago. We figured it would be better to go during the week and I have the time off coming so why not? Plus, his other son gave him tickets to see a Cubs game during the week that we'll be there. I'm not going to that with him; me and the girls will find something else to do.

Hopefully by the time we get back from Chicago the house project will begin.... keep your fingers crossed for me, will you? =)

Last night I attended a computer club sig on Excel. My sister did a wonderful job teaching and I learned some useful things. I'll probably join the computer club so I can attend on a regular basis.

I've got lots of work to do this week so I better get to that now. I'm officially on my time right now; work doesn't begin until 8:00.

I just tried to install all the windows updates for my computer at work and only one installed; the rest of them failed to install. I have Windows 2000 here at work and I would really like to upgrade it to Windows XP (and I even have permission to purchase it) but from what I've read there could be problems while upgrading from one operating system to the other. I'm not comfortable even attempting it; I wouldn't know what to do if I got an error message and I don't want to screw up my computer. What to do......

I got to work 35 minutes early today to prepare for my "parish review" (which all us bookkeepers call an audit). The woman is scheduled to be here at 9:00. I believe I have all my ducks in a row and hopefully I'll pass with flying colors!

I hope you all have a wonderful week! And hey, if you want to have some fun, go to Monday Madness and play along!! Ok? =)

Ok, I've got enough of it done to share it with you; there'll be a lot more blinkies coming so keep checking back if you want to use them for displaying your mood. They take longer to make than the average blinkie but I like 'em so it's worth the time. I'm sure there are a ton of more productive things I could be doing instead of making little dots all around a word, but oh well. Who says we have to be productive all the time?? =)

Oh yeah, here's the link!

Hey, I received a new magazine in the mail yesterday; one I did not order. The label indicates that my subscription will expire in May, 2006. I like the magazine so at least it won't go directly to the recycle bin but I've got no idea why I'm getting it. Do you think magazines send random subscriptions to people hoping they'll renew when the time comes?? =) Oh, the magazine is called Computer Shopper. It's got some interesting articles in it, so I'll be learning new things free of charge! Yay!

Ok, I'm done now. I didn't have anything to say again but it looks like once I started rambling I couldn't stop! Have a wonderful evening and take care!!

So it's Monday morning... another day, another dollar.

I don't have anything to say; it's why I haven't been blogging regularly.

If you want something challenging and fun, go to Monday Madness and play along! It's all about anagrams.

Until next time, have a glorious week!! =)

Nothing new to report here... I haven't really had the time to get my page done so I can share it, but hopefully I can work on that today yet. The weather has been really hot! And humid! It's good weather to stay indoors and play on the computer. It seems we wait all winter for summer to come and then when it does it brings with it all the humidity and heat; it's no fun being outside unless you have a pool - we don't.

I just wanted to come on and let ya all know I'm still kicking! =)

Exactly what attracts idiots to leave comments on people's blogs?? I just deleted 3 from my tagboard; I've no idea why they must waste my precious time...

Update on the loan: It looks like we're just waiting to close, and about the builder's permit; we have to first get a permit from the DEQ and then we're on our way! (Can this really be happening??) =)

I'm off today because I must use my vacation time before the end of the fiscal year or I lose them, so I just chose some random days and decided to enjoy them! We're planning to go to Chicago at the end of the month to visit the stepson and fiancee. We're definitely doing some free stuff this time! (I wonder what stage our renovation project will be in at that time...)

We had some really bad weather here this past Sunday; tornado warnings, severe thunderstorms, etc. We survived without any damage and we even had power all the way through, which I understand wasn't the case for everyone. I can deal with thunderstorms; it's the tornado warnings that scare me.

Well, I'm going now to do some light housework, then finish up my new page I'm going to share with you soon. So look for it! =)

It's Friday already! I hope the weekend brings good weather. I've got nothing special planned but we have such a short summer it seems; I want to enjoy every breath of fresh air I can!! (Of course I want to enjoy every breath I take always...)

We don't know who will be taking over the parish I work at. I need to quit thinking of all the possibilities and just wait to see what happens. The Lord does work in mysterious ways.

School is almost out for the summer around here; I'm not sure what my daughter will do since she's a bit too young to have a job and she doesn't have her driver's license yet; I hope she just enjoys the next couple of months. In two years she'll be off to college and probably working part-time somewhere. I don't want to think about that right now, but we must let them grow up and leave the nest when they are ready (not when WE'RE ready.) =)

Later on today I will answer this week's monday madness questions and the questions from bryn when she tagged me a few days ago. Then I have to tag 5 more people so watch out; it might be you! =)

Take care and enjoy your upcoming weekend!
