Ok. I apologize for that last post; maybe it's something I shouldn't have shared here. But I did and what is done cannot be undone. (Actually it CAN be; but I'll leave it.) I just wanted to put down in writing my thoughts about it and that's all.
I really want to change my look here. It seems all around me, people have changed their look/layout. I'm working on a couple of things but this will be next on the list. I didn't even touch my other site today. Didn't add a thing; didn't do 'nothin' to it.
Our boss just came back from hip replacement surgery about 2 weeks ago (from being away 6 weeks) and we haven't really seen a lot of her since she's been back but one of my coworkers today reminded me that we didn't make her a 'welcome back' banner. So I told her we could still do it; we'd just have to add a little note as to why we haven't put it up sooner. This is what I came up with..........
To our dearest Honora, we're really glad you're back.
We wanted to do this sooner, but you don't cut us 'no slack!'
She's really not a slave driver by any means and to top it off, she's an English major. I know she'll cringe when she reads that! She's a typical English teacher too. She takes my bulletin and marks all over it. I should really buy her some red pens. English teachers LOVE red pens! On that note my friends, I bid you goodnight!

I wasn't at work a half hour before I received a phone call from a friend. This has been bothering me all day now. Last night on the news they mentioned a murder-suicide that took place in a town near mine; I never like hearing these kinds of things but I tend to put it aside after the immediate feelings of sorrow for the family left behind, and of course never being able to understand why on earth anyone would do it. It never hits you as hard until you find out it was someone you knew. My friend called me this morning to tell me it was a couple whose kids attended the school I used to work at. I knew the wife fairly well; she used to help out with playground duty and she was called on a semi-regular basis on matters regarding her childrens' behavior. From what I understand, her and her husband were going through a divorce and she had just moved to her mother's house the day before yesterday. Her husband came over to the house the next day with shotgun in hand, called her outside, and took both their lives. Their 5 children witnessed this horrible scene. Obviously something wasn't right with this guy's head. Apparently he had been experiencing depression; understood. But now their children must live with this image in their minds forever. 5 children left behind..........I can't imagine how they will get through this. Our lives are not our's to take. Our children should come before our own feelings. Please don't think me unkind to say this, but I believe this to be the most selfish act a person can take; let's pray for those kids..........
I needed to go blog surfing right now to find something lighter to think about; I was just over to Granni's Stuff, typed my name in, and look what came up.

ottotium is a milky, pasty blue gel leeched from the feet of a wolverine that eats a prickly-pear cactus. |
Mixing granni39ium with ottotium causes a violent chemical reaction, producing a translucent orange potion which gives the user the power of x-ray vision. |

It's coming along; my new 'home' on the web, that is. In case you missed my last entry, here's the url: http://oserrato.com. Yup! That's it! I'm having a lot of fun putting this thing together. It's given me an excellent opportunity to change things around. Soon I'll be changing my links here.
Once again, nothing on tv. That's ok because I'm really into this project. I actually have a nother painting job I want to get started on and I may do that this week. Looks like I have a pretty 'normal' week ahead of me; how refreshing!
Oh my; almost time to post this week's Monday Madness questions.....any suggestions for subject matter? If I miss ya this week; I'll use it next week! Would really appreciate it! Please?
Going back to my site creations..............what fun!

I was doing some blog surfing earlier today and I found an interesting link over at Shameless Agitator. Do you like playing Scrabble? If so, you'll be interested in checking out that link. I'm not sure how it works, but it looks like a challenge!
Bryn has changed her look; what an ambitious girl! (Makes me want to do something with mine.) Tine also changed her look to reflect the new season; very nice! I know they came up with their own templates, but if you're at a loss for ideas, I found this place; lots to choose from! Shirl is rooting for Michigan State to win the football game today; go give some support! Sherle (notice the difference in spelling?) is having a great time 'learning' how to use her new digital camera (and doing quite well, I might add); could go pay her a visit! Oh, and you should go pay Lulu a visit; she does great sketches! If you want to see what I've been working on, you could click here. Remember, I'm not done and I'm not even sure I'm going to keep this color scheme, etc. I was just really anxious to get something up!
Hope everyone is enjoying this day! Weekends are meant for us to spend time doing things we don't have the TIME to do during the week; whether it be housework or play! I'll be working on moving my blinkie site over to my new domain when I return from church. Gotta upload all those blinkies; anybody wanna volunteer?? (he, he.)
Friday, September 26, 2003
Soon and very soon...........it will happen. No more 'exceeded bandwidth limit' message! My goal is to have my new page and my new blinkie site up by the end of this weekend. No, I'm not replacing my blog; I'm creating a page that will have links to all my sites on it. Why? Because I finally did it! I finally bought my own domain space and name!! Thanks to my Mom for helping me to sign up. I'll be working on it probably every spare moment I have; of course I have to create a banner, background and buttons first....so until then, ta ta

This week at Lulu's Lines;
Right now I wish..........I wouldn't have slept for the last hour and a half! It's 11:00 p.m. and I just woke up from a long 'nap.' Today was a crazy day; left the house at 7:25 like every other day to drop the kid off to school; to work at 8; cleaned a house immediately after work; had to buy a pair of socks, so we went to the mall (you know how teenagers can be!); stopped home for a quick sec, and back to work I went.....not one of my MOST enjoyable days; now I'm wide awake and good to go for another few hours. Hmmmmm.
There's going to be some changes in my work schedule soon. I'll post more about that when it happens. Kind of bummed right now since it seems we haven't had comments most of the day here, which means anyone with the same commenting system doesn't have them either. I hate when that happens! Not much to say really (as you can plainly see) so I'll call it a night. Maybe tomorrow I'll have something more interesting to talk about. The least I can do is leave you with a nice quote, so here you go;
"A real friend helps us think our best thoughts, do our noblest deeds, be our finest selves." ~Anonymous
I want to wish my parents a Happy Anniversary!!! They have been married for many, many years. (It makes you wonder what the people today are doing wrong.) My parents were married young; had six daughters; worked full time (my Mom only after the youngest was in school); both put themselves through college WHILE working and raising a family, and they still enjoy each other's company; maybe even more than ever!
This one's for you, Mom and Dad! I love you!
Go wish my Mom good wishes! She will share them with my Dad. (She'll make him read the comments.) Marriage CAN be a wonderful thing...........

So I felt like taking a few quizzes.
Found this one at Granni's...............

By the way, I painted my bathroom a very light purple.....you'd have to see it to appreciate it. Ok, on to this week's Monday Madness, questions courtesy of Susan and Jan..............
1. If you had the means, what type of limousine would you rent?
Personally, I like the traditional Cadillac limousine. That stretch hummer looks scary to me!
2. Where would this limousine take you?
Suppose I should have thought about this before answering, eh? I've only rode in a limo to wedding receptions with the wedding party. I would have it take me on a fall color tour. We would stop as many times as I wanted to to get out and take pictures.
3. Would it just be transportation for you to get to a social gathering, or would the ride BE the social gathering?
I think it would BE the social gathering (and the color tour of course.) I would have no specific destination.
4. Who would you take with you in this limo?
My kid, my parents and any sisters who wanted to come. I think it would be a good 'bonding' experience!
5. Have you ever ridden in a limousine? If so, where to? If not, would you like to?
Oh, I already answered this one. See answer to question #2.
I'll be answering Random Questions later.

Update on the Puffin Patch; The site owner has decided to keep it, but with some changes. We will still have our quilts up and we will still have a unique member number. The only difference is you must have quilt squares (40 x 40) available on your site for others to adopt and add to their quilt. They can be animated or not, and do not have to have the special 'stitching' border around them. We no longer need to ask other members to trade patches with them; we can just go to their site and adopt the quilt squares we want to add to our quilt. I'm staying in; I think it's fun. I'm going to make some quilt squares now. Hey, if you want to join the Puffin Patch, click here. Lynda is the site owner, and I know she will welcome you in!
No more Puffin Patch.........I guess it's too much like another quilt exchange site out there, and apparently the site owner of Puffin Patch was receiving emails from some of the members of the other quilt site, and thought it would be best to just delete it. I respect that but when I really think about it, there are a lot of sites out there that are similar to each other. Did these people have a copyright on their idea?? I mean, look at all the memes! Plus, that other quilt exchange site has over 500 members; what are they complaining about? I don't know; what do you think? I shall delete my links and get rid of my page now...........(poor puffins.)
I've been trying learn this css.....it's very confusing to me; putting the proper code in the proper place. I'm using my old blogger site to experiment with it. As soon as I get something that looks halfway decent, maybe I'll share.......

So far I've run into no blogging about last night's 'Survivor.' It's hard to pick a favorite or a least favorite just from watching the first episode, but this time I found myself rooting for 'Drake' right off the bat. First, the Mexican girl was a great asset to that team when it came to bargaining for items in the little village market. She really seemed to know what she was doing. (Of course she obviously had an advantage; being able to speak their language.) Although it wouldn't have been something I'd have done (but given the circumstances, who knows?), the big guy with the beard was just 'acting like a pirate' when he stole all the items in the raft that the other team foolishly left sitting right next to his team's; more bargaining material. The other team seemed to have no agenda at all........and what's up with those guys getting naked? That was unnecessary.
I wasn't sure who I wanted to see voted off until they revealed Nicole's true colors. She only sealed the deal when she opened her big mouth at the tribal council. I had to laugh when, after she was voted off, she said, "I knew I'd either be the first one voted off or the winner." Oh really...............
Have an enjoyable weekend all! I thought this quote was kind of cute;
"Be like a postage stamp; stick to one thing until you get there." ~Josh Billings

I went 'yard art hunting' today after I was done working.....what fun!! I took over 40 pictures in just a little over an hour and it's amazing how many people have lawn ornaments and such. Some are very attractive! What a fun way to challenge our photographic creativity. Oh, in case you're new here, the reason I went yard art hunting? Well, just go here and find out. I also found a picture for the thursday photo meme, Theme Thursday, which I will post after 'Survivor.' By the way, I started a new photo gallery that you can find here. But just now when I tried to view my photo (here), it wouldn't load. Just to let you know, I haven't customized my photo gallery at all yet; just wanted to upload all the pics I took today so far. I'll be doing that later too.
I'm so excited I don't have to work tomorrow!! Yipee! *big smile* I got lots to do and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it!! Until later..................
Just one more thing; I have to share with you something I heard on the radio this morning. I found it quite interesting.
Staring at the color orange can make you smarter. Believe it? Don't stare at the color blue though. Stare at orange, orange, orange!! Watch sunsets!
I'm really trying to stay upbeat this week, but it's been a bit busier than I thought it would be. I thought I was going to have a 'normal' week; you know, go to work, come home, go to work, come home. Yeah, I'm pretty much a home-body. Tomorrow though, I get to do just that! But I have plans for when I get off from work. I am going out 'yard art hunting' so I can finally submit my photo for Photo Time. I decided that I'm going to take a picture specifically for the theme each week rather than shuffling through the dozens I've got already taken. AND I'm going to challenge myself to taking better photos. (Can't wait to get that new camera! Huh, it'll be a while though.) I've been surfing blogs since I got on the internet about 2 hours ago and now it's time for some much needed sleep! Got lots to do tomorrow at work..........but first, I will share a quote with you.........."If you want to be listened to, you should put in time listening." ~Marge Piercy

Help me out here.......please tell me I'm not being petty. When you invite someone to a celebration, and this person that you supposedly invited is grown with a family of their own, do you send one invitation to the parent of this person and include 'and family' on it? Or do you send a separate invitation to this person? In my opinion, any member of the family that has moved out of their parents' home, deserves an invitation sent to their OWN home! Well, I guess it's better than hand delivering them the week before (to save money on postage!!) I wouldn't blame this person for not attending the affair, on account of not being invited! (or at least not the proper way!) Oh my; and I didn't even read the 'book of etiquette' on this one! Happy Wednesday to you! It's off to work I go!

Time once again for some memes..........first of all, the one I run; Monday Madness:
1. Which one of your five senses do you feel is the strongest?
I think I can hear pretty well. I hear the slightest noises now; maybe it's a 'mom thing.'
2. Which of your senses is the weakest?
I would have to say my sight. I have to wear glasses or contacts to see really well. I'm near-sighted so I don't need them to see the computer or for reading, cross stitching, and all the other things I do that are close up, but I cannot drive without them! I can see big things like cars and stop lights, but I could never read a road sign without them!
3. Which one do you feel is the most valuable to you and would never want to live without?
Oh gosh, all of them are valuable. But I have to pick one.....so I will choose sight. I can't imagine life without it. Of course I can't imagine life without touch, smell, hearing, and taste either. Although I could probably live without taste; maybe I wouldn't like so much food!!
4. In general, which of the five senses do you think people use most? Why?
I think we use our eyesight the most. Of course, this is not true for some. They have stronger hearing than people with eyesight. I never want to take it for granted; I depend on it so much!
5. Which of the five senses do you feel YOU use the most? Why?
I use my eyesight and hearing most. Actually, I think we use all five about the same; we just don't realize it.
And now for today's Random Question:
What makes you laugh?
Oh, lots of things make me laugh. I love to laugh! I find humor in the smallest of things some days because I know laughter is good for us and it keeps us healthy. If your'e looking for something specific, here's an example. It's one of those things that you 'had to be there.' Tonight, my daughter and I were both at our computers and there was this program on tv that we wanted to check out. She walked over to the television and stood there watching it for a while. I walked over there and watched it too. We stood there for about 5 minutes watching this television program until I finally said, "Gee, we really gotta get some chairs in this house!" We both laughed. See? I told you you had to be there! But here's something else that made me laugh. When my sister (the one in CA) and I get together, we always try to think of something to do to entertain ourselves (and possibly embarrass those with us.) This time we decided we'd walk up to people and tell them we lowered our cholesterol. She was much better at grabbing someone's attention that I was, but I tried nonetheless. Most people just chuckled; one even said, "Hey, cool! Cheerios?" You probably had to be there!! My mom told me never to do that while in her presence.......hmmmmm. I like a good challenge!!
And now I leave you with yet another quote: "Every second is of infinite value."

Have you ever just decided to totally wipe out an entry in your blog? I just did. I don't usually do this but the entry I wiped out was stupid. Believe me, you're better off for it! But I did have a link to one of my Mom's sites, so I'm leaving that in. 'Tis Monday once again; back to the 'grindstone' as they say. Is it true that the older you get the faster times seems to go by? On that note, I will leave you; must get ready for work!
My horoscope for the day:
"You've got more leverage over a particular problem than you think. Stop indulging your insecurities with ludicrous and statistically improbable worst-case scenarios. That will free you up to recognize the inventive solution that is staring you right in the face."
I must answer Random Questions; Random Days now...well, I WANT to. This first question was posted on Wednesday, September 10:
What is the perfect pizza? Do you have to make it at home, or can you actually get one from a pizza shop? If so, where?
In my opinion, the perfect pizza is one that is homemade. When we were kids, we used to LOVE it when we made pizza. Remember, there was 8 of us, so I think we made about 5 or 6 pizzas in various sizes (at least it seemed like that many.) My Mom had every topping imaginable ready to put on the pizzas, and we made them with different toppings on them. But my Dad was the MOST original! He used to put cornflakes on his pizza...was he doing this just to amuse us? I don't know, but it's something we will never forget. At least he didn't put wheat germ on them! Or did he??? Oh, do I make pizzas at home? Not very often; maybe I should!
On to today's question:
Are you a twin? Do you have twins, or other multiple siblings of the same age in your family? Do you think twins have special ways of communicating that non-twin siblings have missed out on? Explain?
I am not a twin, but we have twins in our family. Yes, I believe they have a special bond. I don't feel I 'missed out' on anything though. I feel they have a special bond because they were the same age and went through things at the same time instead of 2 years (or more) after the older sibling. Being there was 6 girls in our family, we seemed to pair off in 2's. Don't laugh, but we were referred to as 'the big kids,' 'the twins,' and 'the little kids' even though there was only 6 years between the oldest and the youngest.
Good questions, Windy!

Thanks to Bryn for the link to this place. I've seen people's 'bloginality' before; never knew what they meant. Mine is listed under my moods section.
Also, I decided to take this quiz; also found at Bryn's (link up there.)
Friday, September 12, 2003
Such little things amuse me. You know how some people have their links turn upside down when you put your mouse over them? Well, check out my little 'nerdy' mood face over there (to the right.) I think it's cool! Where did I get this code from? I was at Mandarin Design Daily and they offered two sites to visit if you're looking for filter codes. I found this code here. I just had to use it!
On the other hand, such little things annoy me. My guestmap on this site shows only two people have signed it. I had four more at one time. What? Do they remove them after so much time??? I'm taking the link off. I'm not supporting that place if they can't leave my guestmap alone! Might have to add one from bravenet. Can you have more than one of those? I'll find out.
More bloggin' later! Enjoy your weekend!
Today I also feel
Maybe you didn't see, but yesterday I added a code to my blog that changes everything to grayscale. I got the code from Mandarin Design Daily, but I give Loo Who credit for finding it first. It's just a little smippet of code you add to your body tag. You can also change just one image to be in grayscale.
I really need to compile all my codes into one file so I can print it out then add it to my notebook. This weekend I will be working on css again. It's one of those things where you have to have a block of time to work with it. Thanks to everyone who offered help on this subject.
I've updated my mood faces page if you wanna go check it out. I added these three moods: goofy, devilish, and immature (this one I'm not real sure about.) But hey, you be the judge.
Photo Time has moved, so don't forget to change your urls, and check out this week's theme!
Sad news today: John Ritter and Johnny Cash died. We never know how much time we have left, do we?
Thursday, September 11, 2003
I've dimmed my blog as well....................in rememberance of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
You may find the code here.

It's time for Lulu's Lines! I'm choosing this one:
I try to start each day.......... with a positive attitude; no matter WHAT I have on my plate for that day! I really need to work on this; see, almost the first thing that runs through my mind each morning is my schedule for that day; the second thing that goes through my mind is what the rest of my week looks like. See? I told you it's something I have to work on. I look SO forward to the days when I just have to go to work and not clean any houses or attend any meetings. Those days are like vacation days for me! I can say that I do keep a positive attitude throughout my work day though. No one knows what's going on in my mind; they think I'm always happy. And how does that saying go? "I'm happy because I think I'm happy."
Monday, September 08, 2003
I picked up my new glasses today. I think I look like a geek in them. I prefer my contacts, but it's nice to have glasses because for the week and a half that I didn't have them, I had to wear my contacts all day or put them in if I had to go somewhere; it can be a hassle without a pair of glasses to just throw on when you need to make a quick run to the store.........time now for a couple of memes!
Monday Madness:
1. Describe the perfect setting for a picnic.
The perfect setting for a picnic could be any number of places. In my mind, I imagine water, shade, a nice cool breeze, and not too much noise.
2. What's in your picnic basket?
I never really went on a picnic with a picnic basket; maybe a cooler and a bag! Ok, I'll play along; in my picnic basket would be crackers and cheese, beef jerky, cookies and of course something to drink; probably pop.
3. Who is joining you for your picnic?
I would hope my daughter, and any of my family would be welcome to join me. They probably would want to bring their own picnic basket though. They may not like what's in mine!
Now for some Random Questions:
Did you know that the "Pledge of Allegiance" was first read on this day in 1892? Some people would like to see the words, "under God" taken out of the pledge. What do you think about that? Why?
Honestly? No, I did not know it was written on this day in 1892! About the "under God" phrase being taken out; NO, I do NOT think it should be taken out! WHY don't those people just leave well enough alone??? There are just certain things we should not mess with. Shall I go on? I'll give you a break and shut up. I've ranted about something in my last couple of posts.
Does anybody know CSS? I'm trying to learn it. I kind of understand the codes and what they mean; I just have to learn how to put it all together. I will spend more time on it this weekend........until then, tah tah! But wait! I'm leaving you with a quote tonight.............
"To know what you prefer, instead of humbly saying, "Amen" to what the world tells you you ought to prefer, is to keep your soul alive."

Two days without a blog post........haven't really had much to say. Today was our parish picnic and the installation ceremony for our new pastoral team. Since all 108 parishes in our diocese has had to form clusters, most of the parishes are seeing some changes. Some are keeping the pastor or pastoral administrator that they currently have; others are getting someone new; and still others (like ours and the 3 other parishes in our cluster) are going to have a team of pastors, nuns, and lay people to administer the parishes in that cluster. It's not a merge; we're not becoming one parish; we are just going to be doing some things together. I imagine in time, this will mean cutting staff and maybe combining some of the duties. Anyway, about the picnic; even though we had a beautiful day, there seems to be less and less people stay for it every year. I could see if it was raining, but it was about 80 degrees and sunny. I guess maybe we need to find out WHY people are not staying. I wasn't too impressed when the bishop announced that he had to leave Mass early because he had planned an outing for his staff to go see a Lion's game. The bus was outside waiting for him and as soon as the little ceremony part of Mass was over, he was out of there. Hmmmmm. Makes me wonder where his priorities are. Of course most people thought it was amusing; why? Cuz he's the bishop? He's just a human. If it would have been one of the priests on our team, they would have been talking about him..........no more on that subject. It makes my blood boil. If anyone from my diocese is reading this, just remember, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Be thankful I'm not airing ALL my thoughts!
This weekend flew by too fast! Isn't that the way it is with weekends? I'll be really busy this week too. I have to stay over at work two days and two other days I have things to do after work. BUT, the good thing is that I have Friday off! Here I go, wishing my life away again......gotta stop doing that! Oh, I can cross one thing off my 'to do' list, but I'm adding something to it. I am trying to learn CSS so I can make my blog look exactly the way I want it to. I'm beginning to understand it; but I have a long way to go. It may be awhile befor I change anything here, so be patient. Well, I have my questions in my head for this week's Monday Madness and I will post them at 9:00 EST. Go have a look! For now, I think I'm going to make a couple blinkies. It's what I feel like doing......................oh yeah, I made more mood faces a few days ago. I now have 33; but since I added the tagboard to that page, it takes a long time to load. Maybe I will remove it. I liked it because there are 90-some smilies to choose from, but I don't know if it's worth it for the time it takes to load the page. We shall see.........

Oh hey, I forgot to tell you; I added some more links to Blogger Seeds last night. When you go there, click on more bloggerseeds and you will find, in the left-hand column, a whole list of links to places that offer you free stuff to add to your blog. Yes, all of the links I add offer FREE stuff. At the very bottom of the list though, are some places you may want to check out and join; you know, 'support our cause' type places.
One of the links I added to that list is to Free Fast Online Users. If you scroll down here immediately past my counter, you'll see a little piece of text that says '_ online.' It's a simple code you add to your blog and it'll tell you how many peoplel are viewing your blog! I thought it was cool. At one time I had 3! Don't laugh.........I think that's a fine number! Anyway, go on and see what you can find. And if you ever run into something you would like added to that list on Blogger Seeds, let me know! I'll certainly be happy to check it out and consider adding it! Have a great weekend everyone!

You just have to check out this article that I found the link to on Colleen's Blog. If nothing else, it will amuse you. Are you 'unremarkable' and 'gossipy?' I would never have thought to use either one of those words to describe myself! Would you??? Go take a peek!
When I first started making my blog signs, I was under the impression when saving them as a gif, that I had to use 'web safe' colors only. Since then I have discovered that is not necessary. How dumb am I???? To get to the point, some of my signs look very pixelated. I may have to redo some of them and save as jpg's......whoopeee! Why did I bring this up? I went to put a new one here and I can see all these little dots on it. Yuck. That may be a project for a day off. Hmmmmm........I haven't taken a day off from work lately! Oh yeah, I don't have time to take a day off from work. I knew there had to be a reason. Alrighty then. I think I'll create some more blinkies; a little addiction of mine!

Welcome Bryn back to the bloggin' world! She was bloggless for almost two weeks! I can't imagine......
Don't forget to check out Connect 8, a photo project that sounds like something I want to participate in; you?
I'm officially inviting everyone who visits my blog to join The Puffin Patch; it's fun; you trade puffin patch squares with other members and your quilt grows. You can check out MY puffin patch page here.
I'm going to do the Wednesday memes now! You'll find my answers at Otto Once More.
I think I'll have to set up a new email account. Still getting those emails with 100k attachments. I guess I won't leave my email address 'laying around' all over the web! Here's yesterday's Random Question................
What is your zodiac sign? How much stock do you put into your horoscope?
I'm a Gemini. I believe some of the stuff some of the time, but I never believe all of the stuff all of the time! I guess horoscopes are written in such a way that they will pertain to just about anyone. I still think it's fun to read it though.
Off to another day at work. Hmmmm. It's Wednesday already. My, how the week goes by fast when you have Monday off!

I want to change my background, but I don't know how to do what I want to do. Don't get me wrong; I know how to change my background but I don't know how to put an image up on the left-hand side on top and the background to fill the rest of the page. Any help? I suppose I'm just being lazy; I could figure it out if I wanted to. Well, I DO want to; just not right now. So, if anyone knows what I'm talking about and knows how to do this, will ya please share? I found out that my answer to Lulu's Lines #5 was featured on the site! Pretty exciting, huh? You may have read it here; if not, go take a peek! Warning: it's long! I'm in kind of a weird mood; don't really know why........maybe the change in temperature? Let's see; not much going on around here. It's the second week of high school for my kid and I guess she likes it now. I, on the other hand, am not so sure. What's important is she gets a good education and she's happy. I believe we will meet those two criteria so she'll more than likely continue there. Our church Fall Bazaar is coming up October 18 and I have less to do this year than the previous 3 years. I'm the chairperson and there's lots of preliminary work to be done to prepare for a bazaar. But this year we've decided to buy the lawn signs (instead of making them) to advertise it. Yay! Less work for me! I got the letters to the prospective crafters in the mail and now we can only pray that we get enough people to sign up. Keep your fingers crossed. Every year so far since I've been the chairpeson we've done really well. When I start to lose my enthusiasm (I don't see this happening any time soon), it's time to step down. We more than doubled the number of tables rented in 3 years so I can be pretty hopeful that this year will be no exception. Now my church is looking for someone to chair the Annual Card Party. No; I'm NOT doing it! Although I know already what I would change about it if I were to take it on. But I'm not, so that will have to be left for someone else to decide. Gotta go! The cats need food and the kid needs a battery for her calculator. What did WE ever do without scientific calculators??
Hey, I updated my little calendar over there in the right-hand column! Check it out! I put a heart and a star on it! Am I a geek or what?? Oh, and if you mouse over on the heart or the star, it has a message there...........go do it. You know you want to!
Oh My!!! I really must change my mood. I have one mood face saying I'm feeling quiet and another one saying I feel talkative (that's a phone on the side of that 'talkative' face in case you were wondering.) Make up my mind! This I stole from Granni, who stole it from Shirl:

Happy Labor Day! We returned home last night from 2 very enjoyable days at my parents' cabin. We went to Manistee to walk the Riverwalk and to get a couple sunset pics; a bit cloudy, but the walk was nice. We enjoyed our visit with Sharba and family (well, minus one) and Granni and Grampi. Grampi??? I'm sure he'll appreciate that name! Dinner was delightful! The traffic wasn't too bad but we did see several police cars cruising the highways looking for speeders I'm sure. Nope; didn't get stopped for speeding! Got another good night's sleep last night and I was up bright and early today so I could play on the computer. I made a couple more mood faces if you wanna go check them out. I really must stretch my imagination to come up with more........oh, by the way, the new ones are at the bottom of the page.
Last day to get your photo submitted for this week's Photo Time! This photo meme is run by Sherle; she does a wonderful job! The theme is 'favorite'. Everyone has a favorite something! Oh, and go check out Random Questions; Random Days. Windy is home this weekend due to her work schedule, so she's got another new question up for today. Of course you know about Monday Madness, right? This week's questions are all about driving.......go take a peek at those too. Sharba has been bloggin' regularly and she really has some 'good reads!' Oh, and let's not forget the youngest of the seeesters (spelled wrong on purpose), Jan; way over in California...........it sure is a great way to keep in touch, in addition to other, more 'traditional' ways! More good blogs in my blogroll list.........gotta go catch up on my memes!
Take care and be safe!
